BELOW IS A MESSAGE FROM THE CITY . . .

Re: Fourth of July Fireworks Show Rules, Safety Precautions, Traffic Control, and Parking

Dear Residents, Tenants of the Pittsburg Marina, and Waterfront Businesses,
The City of Pittsburg is proud to host the 2023 Fourth of July Fireworks show. This is an informational letter outlining safety, rules, parking and traffic for all those potentially affected by the event. With your cooperation, we hope for a safe and exciting Independence Day celebration.

Safety Precautions, Traffic Control Measures, & Rules (as seen on the attached map)

· Please note that due to high volumes of pedestrians, portions of 3rd Street and Marina Blvd. may be completely closed during the fireworks show and immediately after its completion.
· Fencing will be placed along Marina Blvd. to separate pedestrians from vehicles. Please ensure that as a pedestrian or vehicle operator, you remain on the appropriate side of the fence throughout the duration of the event.
· Tenants of the Pittsburg Marina may not allow additional vehicles into the gated parking lots (carpooling is ok). There will be no tolerance for excessive noise, vehicles, or illegal fireworks in the marina. If a lessee is found in violation, the Harbormaster may terminate their lease. Please respect your neighbors!
· Riverview Park will be closed from July 3rd to the morning of July 5th.
· Marina Blvd. from 3rd Street to Cutter Ave. will be reduced from 2 to 1 lane each way. This lane reduction will not affect resident access to Pelican Loop.

Event Day Parking (as seen on the attached map)

· Parking will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis at both 51 Marina Blvd. parking lots. People wishing to park in these lots must arrive by 5:00pm. At 5:00pm, these lots will be closed to entering and exiting vehicles. They will reopen for exiting once pedestrians have cleared the event area (about one hour after the fireworks).
· Parking will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis for Pittsburg Yacht Club members only at the Pittsburg Yacht Club parking lot. Members wishing to park in this lot must arrive by 5:00pm. At 5:00pm, the lot will be closed to entering and exiting vehicles. The lot will reopen for exiting once pedestrians have cleared the event area (about one hour after the fireworks).
· Parking will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis in all City-owned parking lots south of 3rd Street. Attendees may walk from these lots to their viewing destination.

· There will be no parking in the following locations:
o North of 4th Street on Marina Blvd.
o On 3rd Street between Railroad Ave. and Marina Blvd.
o On Cutter Ave.
o In the boat launch parking lot off of Cutter Ave.
o In the Central Harbor Park parking lot off of Cutter Ave.
o In the gravel lot south of the public boat launch ramps.
o In the residential neighborhoods off of Marina Blvd.

Please note that if you plan to park in one of the open lots on Marina Blvd. or in the Yacht Club parking lot for the event, your vehicle must remain in the lot until pedestrian traffic has cleared following the fireworks show. There will be no exceptions made.

Please feel free to contact Olivia Ortega (925) 481-9772 or Sara Bellafronte (925) 252-4109 for questions or additional information. We thank you for your cooperation and look forward to a family-friendly and fun event.
